Kenacort 0.1% Buccal/oral paste is a prescription medication containing triamcinolone acetonide, a corticosteroid used to temporarily relieve pain, redness, and swelling from mouth ulcers, canker sores, and minor oral irritations. It forms a protective barrier over lesions to promote healing.

How to use

• Application: gently pat the affected area dry, then apply a thin, uniform layer of the paste over the ulcer with a cotton swab. Do not rub the lesion, as this can cause further irritation.

• Timing: for best results, apply at bedtime so the medication has time to work overnight.

• Eating and drinking: avoid eating, drinking, or smoking for at least 30 minutes after application to allow the paste to adhere.

• Swallowing: do not swallow the paste; it is designed only for localized topical application in the mouth.
